levels. The divisional and regional safety
forums are the key bodies to deliver that. The
guidance seeks to focus the forums' efforts on the essential
elements of safety management (including fire, security,
occupational health and food hygiene) which if applied will
largely ensure safe working and
compliance.
The Divisional and Regional Safety Forums are
the key management bodies for the implementation and enforcement of
good safety management throughout the
organisation. Group and divisional boards will
monitor and review safety performance as part of wider business but
only the divisional and regional forums are specifically concerned
with safety matters and have the detailed operational knowledge and
focus to make good safety a reality.
