Environmental risks are elements of BBC activities, products and services that can interact with the environment. They include air emissions, water discharges, solid and liquid waste, energy consumption, and noise.

Any change to the environment, positive or negative, that wholly or partially results from the BBC's activities, products or services.
Significant Environmental Risk:
Relates to an environmental risk that has, or
can have, a significant environmental impact. Significant
environmental risks must be controlled through an operational or
monitoring procedure, or as an objective and target.
