What is classed as packaging?
Packaging includes all material that encloses an item. It includes all plastic, cardboard, bubble wrap and packaging. It also includes transit packaging such as cardboard boxes and jiffy bags. However, it does not include long-term protective packaging such as CD/ DVD cases and hard cases for equipment.
 
What items are covered under the packaging regulations?
All prizes and promotional items that are given away to the public are captured by the regulations. Items that the BBC uses for its own business use are not included.
