Most of BBC recording is either done in a studio or on a location, whether it be a period drama or short notice news assignment. This guidance is for all staff involved in production, to assist with the planning and execution of their job safely.

Regardless of whether the material is for Radio, TV or the Web, the same risk management principles apply when working in studios and on location, assess the risk and manage the risk. The same health and safety goals apply across production; to ensure a safe place of work.
