Those responsible for assessing and managing risk from an activity must:

Complete the BBC training for risk assessment
Complete a risk assessment when you expose persons to significant risk of injury / ill-health
Be clear about the activity being assessed
Use the BBC risk assessment process
When working with third parties, obtain and check risk assessments from them where their activities present a significant risk
Ensure your risk assessment is authorised prior to it being used / relied on
Communicate the significant findings of your risk assessment to those exposed to the risks identified
Review the content of your risk assessment regularly to ensure it is accurate
Modify your assessment if significant changes occur
Keep a record of your risk assessment for at least 3 years.
