Method Statements
This guidance is for anyone who is asked to
provide a method statement as part of their job.
It could apply to a range of BBC activities from recording in an
airport to building a brick wall. A method
statement is a written document which details how you intend to
carry out a job or task including all the control measures (see Risk Assessment Guidelines)
which will be applied. Health and safety method statements are not
required by law, but they have proved to be an effective and
practical management tool, especially for higher risk work.
