Health at Work - Guidance for Managers
Managers can obtain advice on occupational
health issues by contacting Occupational Health (BBC HR
Direct).
The main aim of an Occupational Health service is to focus on the prevention of work-related health problems through core specialist services.
The provision of treatment and GP Services has
now been completely discontinued as it is not within the BBC
Safety remit to provide these services. There is excellent
provision of general medical treatment outside the BBC, for
instance through NHS support services.
We wish to prevent problems from work causing ill health, and in doing so assist the business in managing work effectively. Good health at work enhances productivity for all of our staff.
