and safety risks under their control,
- Risk assessment will identify hazards of
the work, and control measures to reduce the risk.
- Most likely situations where health
surveillance will be necessary within the BBC are Noise,
respiratory / Occupational, Asthma, Hand Arm Vibration, Skin
etc.
- Agree with their BBC Safety Advisor and
local BBC Occupational Health Provider whether there is a need for
health surveillance.
- Managers must identify all those persons
at risk.
- Managers must explain the reasons for the
health surveillance programme to their staff.
- Managers must review the risk assessment
where the health surveillance programme results show adverse
effects are occurring in the group.
- Health surveillance records must be kept, and
kept up to date (for up to 40 years).
