General Workplace Safety
Rest Areas

Any rest area, other than designated smoking rooms, which is provided must protect non-smokers from tobacco smoke. There should be sufficient numbers of chairs and, where the facility is used for eating, tables should be provided.

Where there are pregnant or nursing mothers, provision should be made for a suitably private rest area and conveniently situated toilet facilities.
