The CBR kit is to allow staff to survive temporary expose and to enable them to leave the area with a greater degree of safety. It is not designed to allow staff to stay for extended periods and normal reporting.
No. The cordon set up should only be crossed if a member of the authorities deems it safe to do so. Any reporting from the cordon requires the agreement of a senior manager in news after consultation with BBC Safety.
