• Ensure that if using a trade person to do the work that they are competent.
• Contractors must provide a risk assessment for their work.
• If more than one set of contractors are used, they must communicate their risks to one and other.
• Establish a set of site rules which reflect the nature of the work, environment and the individuals on site.
• There should be one person in over all charge of the building work.
• All those on site, builders and production follow the site rules.
• The Director must consider the impact of the building work on their crew.
• Discuss the nature of the work with your ORM Safety Advisor.
• Ask the question; Do the CDM Regulations  apply?
• The production must do a risk assessment.
