Must I wear an ID card?
It is the policy of the BBC that staff wear their ID card in a visible manner at all times while on BBC premises. From December 2007 this is a mandatory requirement as per the Staff ID Card Policy.

Does Anyone have a right of admission?
No the line manager must be consulted if this involves a member of staff, as it is likely to be a disciplinary matter.
Can the BBC refuse entry?
Yes - the BBC always reserves the right to refuse admission and does not have to give a reason.
Can people be barred from premises?
Yes there is information on this in Code of Practice 13 Annex C.
Why does the BBC stop and search people and vehicles?
To protect people, property, broadcast, copyright etc. At high response levels it is to prevent weapons and explosives being brought in. Random searches on exit are to deter theft.
Will my event need licensing?
A Temporary Event Notice (TEN) is a requirement of the Licensing Act 2003. Failure to comply may result in a fine or imprisonment. A location may already be licensed. To find out see the Events information on mySpace.
