Responsibilities
The Event Owner or Promoter

The Event Owner/Promoter is the person whose Event it is an individual, the BBC, BBC Division or department, a Promoter, Local Authority, Company etc., there may be a partnership or joint venture. The Owner/Promoter has a responsibility to appoint someone who will be the Event Organiser who has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the Event including the Management of Health and Safety. Where there is joint venture the Event Organiser be agreed by the main parties.

 

 

A BBC Division or Department is promoting the Event, is organising the Event and is the Host Broadcaster of the Event (not necessarily all the same Division). The BBC may sub-contract to an outside agency to organise the event on their behalf, other BBC Divisions or Departments may be directly contracted to provide a service, or may wish to participate or 'cover' the Event e.g.: Proms in the Park, Jubilee
