Responsibilities
Key Points

  • Please use the Live Event Management Arrangement Checklist Form, as an aide memoire. If the BBC is Event Owner/Promoter, the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
  • If the BBC is Event Organiser, the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
  • If the BBC is Event Producer/Manager, the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
  • If the BBC is Venue Manager, (Owner/ Occupier) the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
  • If the BBC is Event H&S Co-ordinator, the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
  • If the BBC is Host Broadcaster, the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
  • If the BBC is Rights Holding Broadcaster, the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
  • If the BBC is Contributor / Contractor, the associated responsibilities and arrangements must be implemented by the production.
For all cases the production must complete the Responsibilities for Events Form, or the Location Checklist Indoor Form or Outdoor Form and a separate Risk Assessment detailing the BBC's and other parties' responsibilities and arrangements for the event. A copy should be forwarded to your local representative of BBC Safety.
 
A copy of Responsibilities for Events Form should be included as a schedule to any contracts made between the BBC and other agencies.
