On complex Events where there is a joint venture, contractors will be employed by Parties other than the BBC and will therefore not be subject to BBC vetting procedures. In these circumstances it would be part of our arrangements with those Parties that they warranted the status of their preferred suppliers and it would be their responsibility to satisfy us that they have suitable and sufficient health and safety procedures in place.
