Home Working

When working at home the Display Screen Equipment Regulations still apply. You would need to carry out a DSE assessment as you would in the office. If you do not have access to gateway at home then the training module can be carried out at a BBC site and then the DSE assessment form can be printed off and completed at home.
  • The workstation should be the same standard as it would in the office area and should meet minimum requirements.
  • If a laptop is used then a docking station is required so that a separate screen, keyboard and mouse are used.
  • Using a laptop for long periods is not acceptable for home working.
  • An adjustable chair should be provided that meets BBC standards.
