Fire Safety in Studios and on Location
Outdoor Locations and Film Stages

The relevant aspects of the general requirements described above apply, but in particular, the following must be ensured:
  • Provision of fire extinguishing appliances (in cases of severe risk, a fire engine on standby may be appropriate).
  • Means of escape from seating accommodation, air supported structures, etc.
  • Suitable means for summoning the fire brigade.
In the case of temporary structures, tents, marquees, air supported structures, etc, account should be taken of the guidance in The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety ) Order 2005 Guides No 5, No 6 and No 9. In the case of pop concerts and similar events, the advice in the relevant Health and Safety Executive publication should also be followed.  Click here for a link to the HSE Events Guide.
