Key Points
- A risk assessment must be completed before any
event takes place which will have the potential to cause damage to
or alter the surrounding natural environment and wildlife.
- Wildlife and the surrounding area must not be
disturbed during any outside broadcasts, locations and events. In
particular disturbance to nesting birds must be avoided during the
bird nesting season.
- No damage must be caused to any protected
hedgerows or trees during outside broadcasts, locations, events or
landscape maintenance activities.
- Work on buildings where bats are roosting or
hibernating must only be undertaken after specialist advice has
been obtained.
