Recycling is an effective environmental initiative when carried out in the correct way. Duty of Care checks must be conducted to ensure the waste for recycling is received by a registered waste carrier and waste transfer notes are exchanged. The recycling facility which is being used must hold a waste management licence or a notified exemption.
