Pollution Prevention Control Permits

Any BBC premises where the installed combustion capacity exceeds 20 MW [individually] or where the installed combustion capacity exceeds 50MW [aggregated] must be covered by a Pollution Prevention Control [PPC] Permit irrespective of its operational status. PPC is a regulatory system that employs an integrated approach to control the environmental impacts of certain industrial activities through setting a range of requirements that are legally binding on the operator of the plant.
