Emissions From Chimneys

All combustion facilities at BBC premises must be adequately maintained to prevent the release of 'dark smoke' from chimneys and BBC premises. The Local Authority can serve an abatement notice where a statutory nuisance exist, or is likely to occur or reoccur. Statutory nuisances include smoke, fumes, gases or dusts, steam or smell etc. Further information on Air Pollution can be found here.
