Security for Productions

Increasingly the BBC (and other media) and its people may be perceived to be a "legitimate" target by those with criminal intent, or engaged in conflict.  This crosses all the departmental boundaries from News, Sport and Drama to BBC offices around the world.

 

The BBC receives guests from all walks of life including many involved in controversy, and sometimes our radio and TV personalities are in receipt of unwarranted threats.  Protest and pressure groups see television and radio exposure, however it is achieved, as helping their cause.

 

Producers and editorial staff must have an awareness of the threats and hazards that may attach to their programmes, and the threats to people and facilities deployed by them.
