Property

This guidance explains the security requirements when acquiring, adapting and/or managing premises for occupation by BBC operations, its staff and contributors.  It applies to BBC Workplace, the BBC's property partners, Facilities management, and any BBC programme or Division that rents, leases or purchases buildings, including those already in the property estate.

 

The BBC has an obligation to protect its staff and assets.  Therefore, before the BBC acquires land for development, an existing building to occupy, or enters into an agreement with its property partners, a security risk assessment must be carried out by the BBC Head of Corporate Security or competent person approved by him.
