Pressure and Stress

We all experience pressure on a daily basis, and need it to motivate us and enable us to perform at our best. However, if we experience too much pressure without the opportunity to recover, we feel unable to cope and stress is the result.  This information is designed to assist those who feel that work is causing them stress and for those managers whose team members are suffering from stress.

In addition, The Work Pressure Index: managers' guide is designed as guidance for managers who have been directed from the staff survey site.

Preventing workplace stress is an important issue. The results of your Work Pressure Index give an indication of what the issues could be in your area of responsibility. The document is further guidance from the BBC Chief Medical Officer on how you can analyse your risks, decide a plan of action, and be active in ensuring that the risk of work related stress is controlled.
