Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

This information is provided for all staff whether they are intending to use, planning for someone else to use or have staff working for them who require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE is equipment (including wet weather gear) which is intended to be worn or used by a person at work and which protects him against one or more risks to his health or safety.  PPE can include safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear and safety harnesses.
