Management of Fire Safety

This guideline describes the manner in which fire safety should be managed throughout the BBC.

The BBC Fire Safety Guidance applies to any building and other workplaces in which the BBC:

Is responsible for fire precautions and/or
Occupies all or any part of the building (whether on a permanent, part time or temporary basis); and/or
Is the landlord of a building in multiple occupation or
Uses any other workplace which is not a building.
Divisions should nominate a responsible person(s) to oversee arrangements for fire safety. This should also include those arranagements as they apply to emergency evacuation of disabled people.
